Tyne Bank launches six new cans and two new beers
Tyne Bank Brewery is set to launch six of its beers in cans, while unveiling two new brews – including an 11% imperial stout.
In 2016 the firm crowdfunded more than £207,000 ahead of its move to a new home on Walker Road in Byker, Newcastle, with ambitious plans for the North East’s first beer canning line alongside an expanded brewery and tap room event space.
And a year on, while the canning line is yet to materialise, the firm is now testing the water with American IPA, Mocha Milk Stout, and Rhubarb and Custard, Silver Dollar, Strawberries and Cream, and Summer Breeze pale ales in cans.
More new Tyne Bank beers at Craftworks IX
The new Tyne Bank cans will launch at its Craftworks event on September 30, where the brewery is launching two other new beers.
“Green Hop is a 4.4% pale brewed within 24 hours of the hops being picked, ensuring a super fresh, clear beer,” said Julia. “It’s only here once a year so don’t miss your chance.
“And our 11% Imperial Breakfast Stout was the winning suggestion of last month’s BEERBOX competition – Think maple, bacon and coffee. Well done to its designers Dan & Hugo.
Last month’s suggestions were great guys, let’s make this month’s even bigger! Come down and give August’s winner a taste and then pop in a suggestion of your own.
Music at Craftworks IX
Music at the one day event comes in the form of blues-infused, folk rockers the Fletcher Jackson Band, which has previously supported the likes of Jake Bugg and Primal Scream on tour, while from 8pm MONO Productions’ DJs will be spinning Indie, Funk & Soul tunes.
