Newcastle Airport prepares new bar, The Beer House
Newcastle International Airport is to open a new craft beer bar as part of a major refurbishment of its terminal.
The transport hub, which welcomes around 4.3m passengers through its doors each year, is replacing its existing Wolsington Arms pub at the west end of its airside lounge with a new bar, the Beer House.
Beers will continue to come from Tyne Bank Brewery in Newcastle, which already provided ales to the airport, while the bar is also set to serve more products from companies like BrewDog.
Food at The Beer House will include pulled pork and roast beef stotties, with fresh bread coming from the Geordie Bakers, who are based just a stone’s throw from the airport.
The new bar is currently under construction, with an official opening expected some time in April.
