City pub offers free pint to armed forces staff on Remembrance Sunday
Military men and women are being offered a free pint this Remembrance Day at a Newcastle pub.
On November 10 armed forces personnel with a valid military ID card can receive a glass of cask ale at the Denton, close to the Denton roundabout on West Road.
Fiona Richardson, marketing manager at Ember Inns, which owns the Denton, said: “It is important that this country celebrates and acknowledges the achievements of its armed forces.
“Remembrance Sunday is the perfect opportunity for us at Ember Inns to show our gratitude to the servicemen and women who make this country proud on a daily basis.
“We would like to invite all veterans to head down to the Denton for a pint on us.
“We have a variety of ales available, so I’m confident that we have something to suit all taste buds.”
