Landlords try to tempt Fosters drinkers with more than 50 craft beers (VIDEO and GALLERY)
CRAFT beer loving landlords have packed their pub with creative kegs to show you don’t just have to have Fosters or Guinness on gas.
The new bosses of the Ivy House on Worcester Terrace in Sunderland have assembled more than 50 beers from breweries including Mordue, Mikkeller, Magic Rock, Nogne and Thornbridge, with the majority on keg and a few on cask.
“We want to show people what’s available,” said pub manager Nick Thompson who, with Vaux director Magnus Wilson, bought the tavern in September and spent five weeks refurbishing it. “People round here think you can only have things like Fosters or Guinness. They’re not aware of what else there is.
“Organising the festival has been a lot of hard work, but it’s worth doing,” he added.
The festival runs until Sunday December 16 2012 and for the full line up of the beers click here.
