The Keelman Sausage and Cider Festival – October 24 to 27 2013
Big Lamp Brewery’s home, The Keelman in Newburn, is holding a sausage and cider festival from October 24 to 27.
They have eight different types of sausages in a bun – apple, garlic, cinnamon, chilli, dark chocolate, Scrumpy Jack cider, the Blackout, and smokey Texas – available for £1.95 each.
There’s also 11 types of ciders on offer and a free to enter prize draw for the chance to win a “Big Lamp Experience.”

A light and easy drinking cider with a well balanced finish.
– Black Dragon 7.2%
Matured in oak to produce a cider rich in colour, body and flavour with fresh fruit and vanilla aromas.
– Dog Dancer 6.5%
Made with bittersweet apples producing a crisp, clean, mouth-watering style.
– Farmhouse Scrumpy 5.5%
Golden, medium cider with a refreshing apple aroma.
– Fiery Fox 6.5%
Smooth and balanced with a fresh, crisp finish.
– Haymaker 6.5%
A fruity, medium cider, bursting with the flavour of apples. A true farmhouse cider with a smooth body.
– Bee Sting 7.5%
Sparkling medium sweet perry oozing with subtle flavours and with cult status among many of its devotees.
– Crazy Goat 6.8%
A medium sweet mix of perry and cider expertly blended giving it a mouth-watering juicy flavour.
– Sunset 6%
A rich and fruity rustic cider bursting with apple flavour.
– Pig Swill 7.5%
A medium dry blended perry and cider packed full of crisp refreshing flavour.

Made from 88% pear and 12% apple. Sweet in flavour with a mouth-watering almost exotic taste.
