Arrest made after man suffers broken collar bone in attack outside pub
A South Shields man has been arrested after a 27-year-old drinker was attacked outside one of the town’s pubs.
The victim had just left the Red Duster pub on Whiteleas way, at around 11pm on Friday October 4 when he was assaulted and suffered a fractured collar bone.
A 23-year-old local man has now been arrested.
Northumbria Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses, and anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious should contact them on 101 ext 69191 or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
