Leazes Lane Brewery

The Trent House pub, Leazes Lane, NewcastleInstalled in September 2013 the Leazes Lane Brewery, at the Trent House pub on Leazes Lane in Newcastle, has a one barrel plant and produces ales exclusively for its own bar.

Its creation saw the pub’s management receive help and advice from Ouseburn Valley Brewery’s Nigel Mothersole, who used to brew beneath South Gosforth’s Brandling Villa pub, and Wylam Brewery.

The brewery’s first brew – golden ale Trent House #1 – sold out in only two hours when it went on sale before the Newcastle United versus Liverpool FC match at St James’ Park on October 19 2013.

Future plans include the brewing of an IPA and darker, more seasonal ales.
