About the brewery
Founded in January 2012 by husband and wife Simon and Dawn Miles, Anarchy Brew Co has a 10 barrel plant at The Whitehouse Farm Centre, near Morpeth, Northumberland.
The firm – originally called Brew Star until a copyright claim by Brewsters of Grantham, Lincolnshire forced a name change in September 2012 – brew with a particular focus on highly hopped beers, often using new world hops.
Anarchy won a silver medal in the speciality category of Siba’s Beer X 2013 national competition for it’s Anarchy lager, while its Sublime Chaos won gold in the premium strong bitters category of Siba’s North East beer contest in 2013 ahead of Champion Beer of Britain, Elland Brewery 1872 Porter.
The brewery has a visitor bar which is open 11am to 5.30pm on weekends, then opens every day during the summer from May 5th, with brewery tours available.
