About the brewery

Allendale Brewery is based in Allendale, South West Northumberland. This is the first commercial brewing of beer in Allendale since 1887 when the original brewery closed due to the collapse of the local lead mining industry and subsequent rural depopulation.

It is a real family business, run by husband and wife team, Tom and Lucy Hick. It was set up in 2006 by Tom Hick with the help from his father, Jim.
