Tyneside Camra members launch new website

TECH savvy Tyneside and Northumberland Camra members – and friends – have launched this new website, CannyBevvy.com.

The updated online home for the branch has been created by Tyneside and Northumberland committee member Michael Brown, the man behind the new Newcastle Beer and Cider Festival site, Matt Dinnery, and local web expert Paul White.

“We want to offer something fresh, which will get people excited about good beer, and that was more in keeping with the newly relaunched Canny Bevvy magazine,” said Michael, 25, from Gateshead.

“Hopefully what we’ve managed so far will begin to do that, but we apreciate it is by no means a finished project and as well as looking to make a few improvements that were not possible before we launched, we’d love to hear feedback on what visitors and branch members would like to see.”

In the coming days and weeks the Canny Bevvy editor said it was hoped to be able to involve branch area pubs and brewers to help add to the What’s On and Breweries sections of the site – though some of that may have to wait until after this weeks 36th Newcastle Beer and Cider Festival, which starts on Wednesday.

For all the latest information about the beer festival, including the full drinks list and festival programme, visit the similarly newly launched www.nclbcf.com.
