North Shields Boozer Not For Sale

A NORTH SHIELDS landlord has hit back at claims his pub is up for sale.

Graeme Oswald, who has run Albion-road based Oddfellows for almost a decade has moved to rubbish rumours the town’s only Good Beer Guide boozer could change hands.
“Any decent businessman will tell you that everything has its price but we are not looking to sell Oddfellows,” he said.

“We still view Oddfellows as a long term investment to that end  In fact we have recently been investing in the pub in the form of a unique and bespoke gravity dispense system which allows us to sell every single newly created craft beer in the North East.

“That isn’t the action of someone looking to sell up. As North Shields only representative in the Good Beer Guide and situated in a revitalised and thriving corner of the town, why would we want to sell?

“These rumours can be extremely damaging for business and I really do not know where they have originated from.”
