Ale fans to prove Tyne Bank beer travels well?

Tyne Bank Brewery's Peloton Pale AleHolidaymakers are being encouraged to take Tyne Bank Brewery’s Peloton Pale Ale for a spin – with a case of beer for the most unusual place it ends up.

The Byker-based brewery, which celebrated it’s third birthday at the end of May, has launched a photographic competition to see where in the world beer fans will take its brew.

And with the Tour de France heading to Yorkshire the firm is expecting some suitably cycle themed entries, via email, its Facebook page, or using the Twitter hashtag #TyneBankOnTour.

“The challenge is to send us a photo, and a caption of yourself or your friends and family, with a bottle of our beer somewhere a bit different,” said the brewery’s Sam Capper.

“After a bike ride in the sunshine perhaps, on the beach, the top of a mountain, somewhere exotic on holiday or maybe even wild camping somewhere.

“The winner will be chosen based on where they took the beer, not how good the photo is, so whether its taken on a phone or with a top end camera doesn’t matter.”

The winner – which the brewery hopes will be the first of many, with different beers chosen for successive contests – will be chosen after the July 31 closing date to receive a case of Tyne Bank beer and a Tyne Bank branded glass.
