Festivalgoers brave the October outdoors at Oddfellows in North Shields
Drinkers braved the October outdoors for the eighth year of Oddfellow’s beer festival in North Shields.
The festival was held in the pub’s beer garden – which was thankfully heated – and relied on the ambient temperature to keep all 16 beers, plus two ciders and a perry, cool.
The 10 handpulls saw local brewery Three Kings, whose plant is less than a half-mile from the pub, showcase their Golden Bitter – which is hopped with First Gold and dry-hopped with Willamette – and American Pale Ale.
Other local casks included Tyne Bank Brewery’s Cherry Stout and Pacifica Pale Ale.
