Gin and beer fans are pleased to meet city’s latest new bar

GIN fans made the most of the late spring sunshine to say Pleased To Meet You to Newcastle’s newest pub.

The latest outpost of Ladhar Leisure group’s empire, which also includes Lady Grey’s on Shakespeare Street, the Charles Grey by Grey’s Monument and Red House on the Quayside – the boozer has seen what was formerly The Lane on High Bridge refurbished into a stylish spirits bar.

One of it’s key ideas is that drinkers can, much like The Red House’s pie menu, choose their gin, then their tonic and then their garnish to create their own combinations.

But much apart from the G and Ts beer fans are more than well catered for, with 15 keg lines, six cask handpulls and an extensive bottled beer list of 95 beers, sorted by style, in the fridges behind the bar.
